Brother HL-4040 CDN Laser Toner & Drum Cartridges
The upgraded version of Brother HL-4040CN is the Brother HL-4040CDN which includes duplexing (double sided) printing feature. Unlike the later model as well as its base model, this version supports color printing technology. Its control panel has a USB port in parallel with the backlit screen display. This machine has a compact built measuring around (DWH) 18.7x16.5x12.5 inches and weighs 64lbs more likely.
The Brother HL-4040CDN has low page capacity, but just enough for small office use. Its main input tray can hold 250 sheets of plain media, plus a 50-sheet auxiliary tray for special papers. Since it's a color printer, thus it requires four cartridges such as TN110 toner series. This model also works with Brother TN115 color toner cartridges and requires the DR110CL laser drum unit. The HL-4040CDN also features a PictBridge port for directly printing photos from supported digital cameras, a feature that is typically found in most inkjets.
